My motto is 'keep it simple' and my goal is to create beautiful rugs
that are versatile enough to feature as stand alone pieces or to blend harmoniously with their surroundings.
I'd like to think that my designs are timeless enough to work in modern spaces and in more traditional settings.
Finding inspiration comes easily - travel, different cultures, bygone eras, art. But what inspires me most is nature.
I am fascinated how mother nature always gets the shapes and colours 'just right'.
Travel is an essential and regular part of my life. Japan in particular has a very special place in my heart,
having spent time living there in my childhood and again as an adult. Japanese aesthetics, in particular the concepts
of zen art and wabi sabi, resonate strongly with me.
