Quilted Silk was inspired by Korean textiles from the Chosun dynasty. Precious scraps of patterned
silk damask were carefully hand stitched together to form patchwork
wrapping cloths.
The raised patterned sections represent the self-patterning of the silk damask.
The peony design was inspired by a fragment of a 19th century stencil design used for the hand printing of Japanese kimono fabrics.
The colourway consists of five colours: grape, light purple, donkey brown, taupe and grey.
Quilted Silk can be customised by colour,
size, shape, yarn, pile or finish.
