Peony features a flowing, non-repeating pattern of stylised peony flowers and leaves in two tones
of rich grey wool and silk. It was inspired by a fragment of a 19th century stencil design used
for the hand printing of Japanese kimono fabrics. The peony is regarded as one
of the most exquisite flowers in Asian art. In China, it is a symbol of prosperity and nobility.
It is also regarded as a symbol of spring and is used as a metaphor for female beauty. Small
fragments of the peony pattern are also used in the Quilted Silk design.
The colourway consists of silver and dark grey (featured).
Peony can be customised by colour,
